To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, it is important that cloth masks are used and washed correctly. Below are instructions for using a cloth mask according to the guidelines of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare.
DRESSING
Place the face mask against your face with clean hands, seam side inward and nose section facing up. Place the ear loops behind your ears and adjust to fit. Avoid unnecessary contact.
Stretch the face mask all the way to your lower jaw. Make sure the mask fits snugly on your face.
Adjust the nose piece to fit you so that the mask fits your face.
Make sure the face mask covers everything from the top of your nose to below your chin.
UNSTRIPPING
Remove by grasping the ear loops. Do not touch the outside of the mask when removing it.
After use, put it directly in the wash or in a tight plastic bag until washing.
After undressing, wash or disinfect your hands.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Wash your cloth mask at 60 degrees Celsius after each use or boil it in water with a little detergent for five minutes. Rinse the mask and dry it in a place with fresh air.
